Clerkenwell Design Week was the perfect moment to open our London doors, and what a week to do it. Our new showroom at 153 Goswell Road, Clerkenwell occupies a building with a bit of history - originally a bank in the 1800s. We've leaned into that contrast: original historic ceilings paired with clean, modern walls to create a gallery-like space that lets the work speak for itself.
Our 2 level showroom features what we call the "gallery" upstairs, where we showcase our materials, finishes, and pieces. Then we have the "workshop" downstairs where designers are invited to collaborate, grab a coffee, and create their perfect REDDIE piece.
The brief was simple: a canvas for our story, from reclaimed and recycled materials through to modern design with traditional details and handmade production. There's also a heavy safe in the back closet, completely welded shut, that will stay a mystery. Some things are better that way.

To mark the launch, we brought together some of Europe's most thoughtful writers and tastemakers to introduce the REDDIE world. We hosted a panel discussion, Simplifying Sustainability: Working with Waste as a Resource.

Moderated by journalist Debika Ray, with panellists Caroline Olah (REDDIE), Golnaz Ighany (RIOS), Charlotte FitzGerald (Universal Design Studio) and Sofia Steffenoni (Materials Assemble); followed by a live demonstration from our Indonesian carpenters, turning building waste into refined wood in real time.

To celebrate our Indonesian and Australian heritage, Chef Pino from Toba treated us to an Indonesian feast, and Tread Softly wines made for a pairing as considered as anything on the menu. Then the DJ went on, bites were passed around, and the showroom filled with conversations we didn't want to end.
